The hotel was gorgeous and modest with unbeatable location not far from shopping in Union Square as well as the Moscone Center. The room was decent sized with nice decor and the overall experience was great. They served great food in the restaurant for breakfast: )

Enjoyed being close to traffic, shopping malls, subways, and the center of good food and shopping due to the perfect location. Booked a room with a view. The lobby restaurant was a nice advantage. The service provided was good.

Someone Spit on the elevator wall leaving a mess overnight. I had to inform the desk clerk about someones dispicable rudeness.

The rooms at Tilden Hotel were beautifully maintained and brand-new, complete with a refrigerator, bedroom, and a gas fireplace. The onsite restaurant offered a good variety of food choices.

This is a totally bare-bones place to stay. I noticed that the room carpets were quite dirty from the color of my socks after walking around on them. The bathrooms however, seemed very clean. This was the most inexpensive place we could find in a relatively good area. Don't expect to be impressed.

The room was kept spotlessly clean and available with cool style. Great location, short walk to buses, trains, Moscone Convention Center, downtown headquarters, Union Square. Many restaurants, bars, and entertainment options nearby.

Location was excellent and staff vey helpful.

Room 204 was very noisy, I could hear all the activities on the street. Also, there was a loud clanking noise every time someone flushed their toilet that woke me up a few times that night.

The property was exceptionally clean and featured a unique design that I truly enjoyed. Its location not very far from Dragon's Gate was really very good. the staff were more than helpful and gave a few recommendations.

I liked the price of my room; when all other similar properties were extremely expensive for the period that I needed to go to San Francisco, the Mark Twain still had reasonable rates.

On the last night of my stay the fire alarm in my room went off for no reason. The staff was helpful, but it is the kind of thing that should simply not occur. I only was able to sleep for a couple of hours after that, as it had made me nervous about what might happen next.
